Kim Butler moved to North Carolina from Long Island New York and absolutely loves living here! Falling in love not only with the area but also the level of service she received during her own real estate experience, Kim joined ROOST Real Estate as a Real Estate Buyer Specialist after first working with ROOST as a client. She was first introduced to the warm hospitality of the Tarheel State when exhibiting her home accessories company at the High Point Furniture Market.
Over the years, Kim made many lasting friendships here and finally decided to make NC her home. Kim understands that not only prioritizing her clients wants and needs, but also taking the time to understand who they are as a person ensures a positive and rewarding home search experience. She believes the connection she makes with them is what makes looking for a home a fun and meaningful adventure.
Kim and her husband, Bob, reside in Mooresville. They have 2 grown children, Courtney and Jack. Her favorite pastimes are being out on the lake and rooting for her favorite sports teams, the NY Jets and Carolina Tarheels.

Before getting into real estate Roy had a 20-year IT career in the financial sector. In his transition to real estate, Roy looked for a business that allowed him to help and advise people. Hallee began her real estate career in land sales, helping plan residential communities from start to finish for several years after college before moving to Charlotte. During her final year of college at Western Carolina University, Hallee worked as a Broker-In-Charge assistant where she learned real estate from the ground up, literally.
Having knowledge of not only what goes on inside the house but also what the house sits on allows Hallee to provide a better service to her clients. Recently, Hallee found out the origin of her last name (‘Haus’), which means “someone who gives shelter or protection” so I guess you could say she’s in the perfect profession! In her spare time, Hallee enjoys being on the golf course with her dad, catching up with friends, and driving her Jeep around town.
Laurie is born and raised in the greater Charlotte area. She graduated from UNC-Charlotte with degrees in Criminal Justice and Sociology. She has always loved the housing industry and worked as a real estate assistant in college, before purchasing her first home in the same neighborhood.
After college, she worked for her family’s heating and air conditioning company. They specialized in Mobile Homes, New and Multi-Family Construction. When her father retired, she tried cubicle work, but all of her personality simply would not fit in a cubicle. She missed the interaction with people, she missed the excitement of putting a deal together.
She has found her home in real estate. Laurie, who has never met a stranger in her whole life, thrives on meeting new people and helping them achieve their goal of homeownership. She is never too busy to ask or answer questions and enjoys diving deep to problem-solve for her clients. Her goal is to make sure every transaction is smooth and seamless.
Laurie volunteers and supports a lot of non-profit groups around Charlotte. Her love of philanthropy keeps her very active in the community. Laurie’s love of people and general well regard for others makes her an amazing agent!

Logan’s technical abilities are a valuable asset because he is able to incorporate them to provide the most accurate up-to-date information to his clients. Originally from upstate New York, John Mikesh has always had a passion for all things “home.” Prior to settling into his career in real estate, John worked in the fields of construction, interior design and architecture—each of which serves him well when advising his clients. From the moment he began his career in real estate, John fell in love with the profession, finding that it was a natural fit for his personality and complemented his ability to understand peoples’ needs—even when they themselves may not. In addition, it drew on his past experience, while quenching his interest for all aspects relating to the home. After deciding he wanted to provide more for his family, John and his wife, Jennifer, sought to relocate to a more vibrant economy with greater lifestyle opportunities. Lake Norman was just the place!
Once settled, John quickly began carving out his share of the market. Year-after-year he continues to be one of the top Realtors in his market. He has also been featured in multiple issues of Charlotte Magazine as a “5-Star Professional,” holds awards from every training program he has taken, is a nationally recognized best-selling author on the subject of real estate, and continues to set challenging goals for the future. ROOST™ Real Estate is built upon a strong set of core values that recognize the importance of enhancing the client experience. Every member of the company shares in the commitment of achieving this goal. A true reflection of John’s determination can be summed up in one of his favorite quotes by Abraham Lincoln: “Good things come to those who wait, but only the things left by those who hustle.” John and his family live in Mooresville, North Carolina and enjoy being connected to the community they serve.
Jennifer started her career in real estate after relocating to North Carolina from New York in 2006. Her past experience includes a degree in drafting and design, as well as ownership of her own business for the five years previous to moving, as a home therapist.
In particular, Jennifer describes work with her former company as a challenging yet rewarding endeavor that taught her much about working with people and helping them achieve positive results through incorporating communication and teamwork. These factors, in addition to growing up in a family owned and operated business, started by her Grandparents, have contributed to Jennifer’s success in her current business.
Working alongside her husband, John, she brings with her vast knowledge and common sense when it comes to dealing with all aspects of business ownership. Moreover, Jennifer has the uncanny ability to pay attention to “all” the details, a main characteristic in a successful manager and business person alike. Jennifer is someone whom you can trust to get things done right, the first time, and runs a company you can rely on for all your real estate needs.
Jennifer and her family live in Mooresville, North Carolina and enjoy the diversity that the Lake Norman area offers their life.
